For some reason, it took almost 2 weeks for Parker's belly button to fall off. I am not sure why, but that thing wanted to hang on forever! Because of that, I was not able to give him a bath this whole time! (sponge baths don't count). He was starting to get a raunchy baby barf/baby poop/baby sweat smell that was getting out of control! I was starting to go crazy! Well this afternoon it finally came off and we got to give him his first bath! At first he was a little upset at the situation, but once he calmed down, he realized that this may in fact be a good thing! I mean, who doesn't like a nice warm bath?!

Parker Lane Lively
Parker Lane Lively came to us on Wednesday, March 17th at 9:35 via c-section. Lance and I went in on Tuesday for an induction at noon and when they checked me, nothing had progressed. They came in and talked to us to discuss our options. Because I was not progressing at all, Lance and I decided our best option was to go ahead and have the c-section as soon as possible. Even if I went through with the induction, becuase I had not progressed more than 1 cm, it would have taken days for me to go into labor and the likelyhood of me needing an emergency c-section anyway was very high. We sent the Dr's out of the room and Lance and I talked it over. We decided my body is probably not made to have children naturally and that I was strong enough to deal with another c-section. We scheduled with the hospital to go back the next morning and it seemed to work out for the best. After the section, the Dr said I definately made the right decision. Parker was still floating around in there and his head was not even engaged. I think that he was just happy being in there forever. I, on the other hand, was not!
He is such a good baby and has brought us so much joy just in the 3 days he has been on this earth. Peyton was able to come to the hospital that same day and play with him and hold him. She said "I love you so much baby Parker" and I asked her if she wanted him to come home with us, to which her reply was "um, no". We have been home for about 6 hours and she has been doing great with him. She has had a fever for the past 3 days so she wasn't able to come back to the hospital and I have tried to keep her away from him as much as I can. She just wants to kiss and hold him. Luckily she has her own baby now with a bed and car seat and a bouncer, so she can hold her baby while mommy holds mommy's baby!
I am excited to start our new lives as a family of 4. I know that the Lord puts us in situations to overcome so we can be even more grateful for what we have. I love my little babies, and I love my husband for taking care of us and being the great husband and father that he is. Here are a couple pictures for you to enjoy!

Any suggestions?
I have tried everything, and I mean everything. If you are one to get turned off by reading TMI, I would stop now and turn back. There is not much you can tell me to go try that I can't say I have already done. This baby just DOES NOT want to come out of me. Now, most of you would say "well, you aren't even due for 3 more days!" Well, I DON'T CARE! I want him out! I don't want another c-section and the closer I get to being induced on Tuesday, the more chance there is of that.
I have walked more in the last week than in the whole 38 weeks prior to this. I have had "marital relations" up the wazoo, with the complaint from my husband that I am "wearing him out" (never knew that was possible with a man). I have rubbed and pushed on acupressure points I didnd't even know existed. I took a long WARM bath last night to relax him out (and I am not a warm bath kind of person, give me my HOT WATER!). I had a nice relaxing perdicure today and spicy mexican food for lunch...The results? Lots of mean contractions that have no consistancy but cause much uncomfortableness to the mama.
So, if there are any other suggestions out there as to how to get this baby out safely and into my arms, I am all ears. I just don't want to have to drink some oil or strange tea that I have never heard of that will just make me poop all over the place and cramp all night. And by the way, this heartburn needs to stop. It keeps me up for HOURS in the middle of the night while I listen to my sweet husband snoring away next to me.
And Parker, my ribs were not placed inside of me for your monkey entertainment. I know the Dr. said you were a long baby, but mama wasn't made to hold a long baby for this long! I want you to continue to grow and get strong, but outside of my uterus would be nice. Please listen to your mommy, daddy and big sister and COME OUT AND PLAY!
Sorry to everyone for the complaining. I am done for now. Just needed to vent a little. And since a post isn't a post without pictures, here are a few for your enjoyment!
